Dashdoc can now track multi-compartment transport activities.

This new feature has been developed to manage the transport of liquids in multi-tanks. This makes it possible to keep detailed track of the volumes/quantities of goods loaded/unloaded in each compartment.

This function can be cross-referenced with other functions such as: dangerous goods (ADR), cleaning required, rounds, controlled temperature, etc.

Create a multi-compartment shipment from the web platform

  1. To create a "multi-compartment" transport from the Dashdoc platform:

    • Click New to create a new transport.

    • Fill in the required fields, then click on the "Add a load" button. Choose the "Bulk" type of goods, then tick "Multi-compartments tank".

Enter the type of load to be transported. You can add as many loads as you like by clicking on "Load" again.

You can enter the volume in m3 or litres, indicate whether cleaning is required, issue instructions, etc.

Carry out a multi-compartment transport on the mobile application

There are 3 main stages in the multi-compartment transport process on the mobile application:

  1. Define the previous loading plan : Which load will be in which compartment? Which quantity ?

  2. Loading stage: enter the loading carried out for each tank (weight/volume actually loaded).

  3. Delivery stage: enter the goods delivered by compartment, with the option of indicating a partial delivery.

1.Definition of the loading plan

Once created, the driver receives the assignment on the mobile application, accepts it and initially completes the loading plan: what volume/quantity and goods does he plan to load into each tank?

Drivers can simply reserve a compartment for a given load if they do not know the exact volume that will be loaded in that compartment.

It is also possible to skip this stage by clicking directly on "Validate" without having completed the loading plan.

2. Loading stage

Once at the loading site, the driver reports his arrival on the mobile application and then modifies/validates the load.

3. Delivery stage

The driver transports the multi-tank tanker and, once at the delivery site, reports its arrival on Dashdoc, then validates the goods unloaded: fully delivered, partially delivered or undelivered.

The loading plan for a multi-compartment shipment, showing the volumes/weights loaded and delivered for each compartment, is available on the Dashdoc web platform:

You can also create multi-compartment bulk transports, meeting the requirements associated with transporting IDTF goods. For more details, see our article Transports with IDTF loads : Creating electronic CMRs in compliance with the standards.
