What is a dedicated resource on Dashdoc?

A dedicated resource (driver, vehicle, trailer) is a resource that you regularly use to carry out some of your activities, but that you do not own; it is not part of your fleet or your employees. These resources can be available "full-time," but the transport carried out by a dedicated driver is not done on your behalf.

How to create a dedicated resource?

To create a dedicated resource, go to "Drivers and equipment > Add a dedicated driver / vehicle / trailer" :

By creating a dedicated driver, you have two possibilities to transmit missions to them: either via the Dashdoc mobile application or by email.

Depending on the chosen preference, Dashdoc will send the mission accordingly, either in bulk (from the scheduler) or one by one from the transport page. New columns now allow you to have a view on the type of resources created and the chosen communication methods.

Assignment and sending missions to drivers

In the same way as your own driver, you have several options to assign and send a mission to your dedicated driver.

  • From the transport details :

From the scheduler. You have the option to display a view with only your dedicated resources or mix your different resources (own drivers, chartered carriers, dedicated drivers). To do this, click on the gear icon, then on "Scheduler Settings" as shown below:

Then, add a new view, select the resource type "Drivers and Charters" and choose "Dedicated Drivers":

Thus, you will only be able to display the drivers created as "dedicated" in your fleet.

💡 From the scheduler settings, display the driver's typology directly under their name!

Activate the function: "Display resource labels"

In the same way as for your own transports, drag and drop your transport / charter from your order pool to your scheduler.

You can send your transports and charters in bulk to your dedicated drivers by clicking on this icon:

Then select the resources for which you want to send the missions:

Dedicated Resource Management

  • Modify the typology of your resources: Once created, the driver's type can be modified at any time on their profile details (click on "Update" then select the "desired resource type")

  • Attach your dedicated drivers to multiple entities: if your dedicated resources work for multiple entities, contact your Dashdoc project manager or our support team so that your drivers are attached to multiple entities.

  • Visibility of dedicated resources: dedicated drivers are visible in the scheduler of the Dashdoc account to which they are dedicated, as well as in their employer's Dashdoc account

  • Absences, notes and registrations: just like with your own fleet, you can link a registration to the dedicated driver, assign them an absence, and add a note in the scheduler
