The Routing Plan allows you to define lanes that automatically create Breaks on each incoming order. Say goodbye to repetitive manual entries: the system handles the segmentation of orders for you.
ℹ️ Why use the Routing Plan?
Eliminate manual entry: each accepted order automatically adds Breaks according to the rules you have configured.
Centralize your lanes: all your organization's rules are visible and manageable in one place.
Maintain control over exceptions: orders that do not match any rule remain as simple orders, and conflicts are flagged for quick manual action.

💻 Access the Routing Plan
From the left sidebar, go to the Tools and Management section.
Select Routing Plan.
⚠️ Access Rights: Only "Administrator" users can create, modify, or delete lanes.
🚛 Create a routing lane
In the routing plan, click on Add a routing lane.
Name your lane (e.g., "West 44 → Île-de-France").
Define the matching criteria (all optional):
Origin Zone: if not specified, applies to all loads
Destination Zone: if not specified, applies to all destinations
Shipper: only one shipper can be specified; if not specified, applies to all
Handling Unit: if not specified, applies to all units
Add one or more Breaks in sequence, each defined by:
Logistics Point (mandatory): the hub or sorting center where the break occurs
Break Date (optional): expressed as an offset from the loading date of the order (D, D+1, D+2…) + time
Resumption Date (optional): expressed in the same way
Click on Save.
💡 Example: A lane with 2 Breaks generates 3 segments in the order pool.
⚠️ Note: If the loading date of a transport is changed after applying the Breaks, the Break and resume dates are not automatically recalculated. The dispatcher must adjust them manually.
⚠️ Note: The transport plan only applies to transports with a single loading point and a single delivery point (A → B).
Multipoint orders must be handled with manual break creation.
⚡️ Automatic lane application
When a transport is accepted, Dashdoc checks all active lanes:
If a lane matches → disruptions are automatically created on the transport.
If no lane matches → the transport is not modified.
If multiple lanes match → no automatic selection is made. A badge appears in the To Schedule section of the transport menu to indicate orders requiring a manual choice.
Automatic application is triggered in the following cases:
Transport received from a shipper and accepted by the carrier
Transport imported via EDI
Transport created directly from the web application by the carrier
Transport duplicated (individual or in bulk)
ℹ️ Exception: if a site operator manually assigns a transport directly to a driver from the scheduler without accepting the order beforehand, the assignment of a lane is not triggered automatically.
⛓️ Apply a lane manually
You can manually apply a lane to a transport to replace existing Breaks.
Open the transport page concerned.
Click on Apply a lane.
Select the desired lane: matching criteria are ignored during a manual application.
Confirm.
Bulk Action:
Select the relevant orders from the list of orders.
Click on Apply a lane in bulk.
Choose the lane and confirm.
⚠️ Manual application is only possible as long as no activity of the order has started.
📝 Track the application of lanes on your orders
From the page of an order, in the events you can see:
The lane that triggered automatic disruptions
Whether the lane was applied automatically or manually by an operator

The Routing Plan continues to evolve. Two new features are scheduled for the coming months:
Automatic resource pre-assign: Once your orders are divided into segments, Dashdoc will automatically assign each segment to the right driver, vehicle, or subcontractor...
Automatic revenue allocation: Dashdoc will automatically calculate the revenue share of each order to be attributed to each of its segments. This allocation will allow for precise profitability tracking by segment and transport line.
