✨ What is transport allocation in Dashdoc ?

You are a shipper, and you work with several transport providers, referenced on specific flows?
Are you looking to gain efficiency and visibility when chartering your transport orders ?

The attribution in Dashdoc is made for you !

  1. The transport allocation tool allows you to compare the prices of your providers on a route and to allocate your transport in a click.

  2. Automatic allocation allows you to automatically pre-allocate a transport order to a provider based on allocation rules defined by you.

Assigning shipments has never been easier !

1. Transportation Assignment Help :

🎯 What are the prerequisites for using attribution assistance in Dashdoc ?

  • To be a shipper calling upon different transport service providers within the framework of regular charters and for simple transports (one loading point, one delivery point, one type of goods).

  • To have lines of services defined by carrier.
In order for Dashdoc to suggest you relevant carriers when creating your transport, you must first set up the lines executed by your carriers.
    To do this:

    1. Complete the following files:

    4. You're ready to use transportation attribution in Dashdoc 🎉 !

⏰ What criteria are needed to define a service ?

  • A carrier, present in your address book

  • Pickup and delivery areas, which can range from a department to a zip code

  • A vehicle type

  • A price

  • A minimum/maximum quantity, the price being valid in this interval (optional)

📦 How do you assign orders using these benefits ?

  1. Create your transport order (without mentioning any means)

  2. Dashdoc asks you to specify the type of vehicle you want, ex: Tautliner.
    Select your vehicle type.

  3. Find the list of referenced carriers and their associated rates.

  4. Select the desired carrier and send him a transport request.

At any time, you can assign a carrier that does not have any services listed, or cancel your current request :

2. Automatic allocation in Dashdoc :

Save time and Pre-assign an order to a carrier by setting up automatic assignment rules !

🏷 How to manage automatic assignment rules for transport orders ?

From the menu “Charters” > “To be assignedor from To be sent to the carrier” :

At the top left of your screen, you will find the “Manage my transport allocation” button.

  1. Click on “Create an allocation rule”.

  2. Give a name to this rule

  3. Define the rule:
When my home department is : such department or such zip code
And my destination is such department or such postal code
    For such type of vehicle
So : the carrier to whom to assign the transport is…

You can activate, deactivate or delete an allocation rule at any time.

Once the rule is activated, the automatic pre-assignment will be applied as soon as the transport is created.

All you have to do is send the shipment to the carrier or modify the pre-defined provider from your “Shipments” > “Send to carrier” menu.
