Create a new template

To create an invoice template, go to your account settings > "Invoice templates" > "+ Add template":

You’ll then have the option to name your model and select the shippers associated with this template.

Template description

You can insert various variable fields related to: Dashdoc, pickup, delivery, loads, or means of transport.

Simply type your text into the description field, then select the relevant variables from the panel.

A preview of your future description—complete with example data—will appear on the right.

Once you're satisfied, click "Confirm" to create your template!

Template management

Your new template will appear under 'Invoice Templates', where you can edit, duplicate, or delete it as needed:

Using a template

Once you have created your draft invoice, you can select the template of your choice by clicking on 'Personalize':

Next, choose the template you want to use:

Reminder: only the templates linked to the shipper of this invoice will be displayed.

If needed, you can refer to our article on how to make your invoices in Dashdoc.

Once you've selected your template, the description for all transports in your invoice will be automatically updated.
