Loading and unloading addresses in Dashdoc
In the left-hand menu under "Loading and Unloading addresses" you will find all pick-up and delivery addresses that were used during your transports.
You can search for addresses by the name of the company to which they are attached.
From this tab you can :
Create pick-up and delivery addresses
See the possible signatories who are attached to the address and who will be involved in signing the e-CMR
By clicking on one of them, you will access to the detail of this address
From this page, you can :
Check the geolocation of your addresses
Add the security protocols linked to the site in question (which will be sent to your drivers)
Add site instructions.
Delete this address (provided that it is not linked to a company or that the company to which it is linked has another reference address)
Create your addresses
1- Go to the address book: "Loading and Unloading addresses".
2- Click on "Add an address
3- Link or not your new address to an existing company in your address book
4- Enter your address
5- Select your address type
6- Save
Check the geolocation of your addresses
Help your drivers get to the right place by geolocating your transport locations.
If your telematics is connected to Dashdoc, the precise geolocation of your addresses will also allow you to benefit from advanced functionalities such as geofencing (site arrival and departure detection), or ETA (estimated time of arrival).
From the address book
In the address book, go to the pick-up and delivery addresses, and click on the blue button at the top right of the screen, "Add an address".
Fill in the address (company, city, postal code...) and specify if it is a pick-up address, a delivery address...
Choose "Check GPS coordinates".
A screen with a map allows you to ensure that the geolocation of the site is correct.
Check that the blue dot is correctly positioned. You can move it on the map by clicking on it, or enter the latitude and longitude directly if you know them.
Also check the radius of the site if you want to benefit from the detection of arrival and departure of site via telematics (geofencing). The truck will be detected on site as soon as it is inside the blue circle. By default, the radius is 500m, but you can increase it (if the site is very large) or decrease it (if the site is small, or to avoid that the detection circle contains a busy road nearby).
Save this data. You will see in the company file that the GPS coordinates are well verified.
If you have created an address without checking its coordinates, it is always possible to enter them afterward, by clicking on "Modify". Moreover, if drivers have already made loads or deliveries at this address, the red dots on the map will indicate their geolocation when they check in on the mobile application, which will help you to position the site correctly.
As a driver, use GPS coordinates to navigate
By checking the GPS coordinates of the pickup and delivery sites, drivers can easily obtain the navigation to the site, via the "Navigation" button that redirects to the navigation application on their phone or tablet.
Security protocols
On the Dashdoc web platform:
Either from the "Address book" then "Pick-up and delivery address" or from the details of transport by clicking on the address in question
Select an address and click on "Edit" the address.
On the "security protocol" section, you can drag the desired document or select it from the directories of your computer.
Click on "Save" so that the addition is taken into account.
You can then modify or delete it via the buttons next to the loaded document.
When the driver passes through a loading or delivery site that has a security protocol entered in Dashdoc, he will automatically access the document before he can report his arrival on site.
In addition, it is also possible to consult and download the security protocol attached to a pickup or delivery site from the Dashdoc mobile application:
Once the driver confirms that the safety protocol has been taken into account, he will have to validate it again one week later (7 days rolling), unless the protocol has been updated in the meantime. In this case, the driver will have to confirm that he has taken note of the new safety protocol the next time he visits the site concerned.
Site instructions
You can also set up recurring site instructions from the address book. These instructions will be automatically populated on every shipment that passes through that site.
