Manage the mobile permissions of your drivers

Limit drivers' app access to protect customers and control order and partner creation.

ℹ️ Why Restrict Mobile Permissions for Drivers?

By default, the Dashdoc mobile app gives each driver full access to your destination and partner directory. For some carriers, this poses a real business risk: a driver leaving the company to start their own business could take your entire client base with them.

Two permissions allow you to maintain control:

  • Prevent drivers from browsing the complete client directory from mobile

  • Prevent drivers from creating orders or partners from mobile

💡 These restrictions never affect legitimate actions on a mission: a driver always sees the destination of their own assigned mission and can complete it normally.

⚙️ How It Works

Two independent settings, enabled by default (the driver retains the capacity, it's up to the administrator to restrict):

Setting

What It Controls

Order Creation

Allows or disallows order creation from mobile. When disabled, it also hides the ability to browse/search the partner directory used in this flow.

Partner Creation

Allows or disallows the creation of a new client/partner from mobile. When disabled, the driver can still select an existing partner if order creation remains active.

⚠️ The creation of partners can only be enabled if the creation of orders is also enabled.

These settings apply to all drivers of the entity.

💻 Configure permissions

From an entity

  1. Go to the entity's Settings

  2. Open Mobile App Settings

  3. Disable the permissions you wish to restrict

For a Multi-Entity Group

Group administrators can view and modify these same settings across multiple entities at once from the Admin Center.

When Does the Restriction Take Effect?

Permissions are loaded at the start of the mobile application. No reinstallation is necessary, but a driver who already has the app open may retain the old permissions until the next restart of the app (including offline).

💡 To ensure the immediate application of a new restriction, ask the driver to close and then reopen the app. Version 3.62 of the mobile app or higher is required.
