No more paper support exchange notes to process! Allow your drivers to enter the support exchanges at the same time as they carry out their transport in the Dashdoc mobile app, and gain in management time and reliability.

Setting up support types

You can customize the types of carriers you want to track in Dashdoc (e.g. Euro pallets, metal pallets, rolls...)

To do this, go to Settings > Carrier types. You will then see the list of active carrier types for your company. To add a new one, click on the "Add a carrier type" button.

Enter the name of this new support type. You can also enter an internal reference (for example, the number of this carrier type in your TMS).

☝️ Note: it is not possible to modify a carrier type that has already been created.

If necessary, you can archive the carrier type in question, and re-create it with a new name. This will have no impact on existing transports using this carrier type. Please note that a uniqueness check prevents you from creating 2 active carrier types with the same internal reference: archive the carrier type with the obsolete name before recreating it.

Create transport with support exchange from the web platform

However, you can make it easier for them by providing information on the number of carriers expected to be loaded (to be returned/removed) and delivered (to be delivered/returned).

To do this, when creating a new transport, choose "Support exchange" and enter the type of support to be exchanged, as well as the number of supports to be collected and returned.

It is possible to enter exchanges for several types of carriers at the same time.

Execute transport with carrier exchange from the mobile application

Case 1: My operator has planned a carrier exchange in my transport

The quantities of carriers to be picked up/returned (on loading), and to be delivered/returned (on delivery) are visible in the mobile application, below the goods.

You will need to click on "Validate carrier exchanges" to enter the actual carrier quantities exchanged and continue the transport.

It is also possible to enter, in addition to the planned exchange, an exchange for another type of carrier (see case 2 below).

Case 2: I want to add a carrier exchange to my transport

It is possible to enter a number of exchanged carriers, on loading or on delivery, from the goods verification screen.

Click on "Add a carrier exchange", select the type of carrier exchanged, and enter the number of carriers returned / removed (on pick-up), or delivered / taken back (on delivery).

The button remains accessible even after a carrier exchange has been added, allowing you to enter exchanges for several different types of carriers.

Impact on the e-CMR

The number of exchanged carriers of each type is visible on the electronic waybill.
