Dashdoc is evolving its rights management system. The goal: to give you more precise control over what each user can see and do in the application, based on their actual role in your organization.
This article explains how the new system works, what roles are available today, and what is coming soon.
Standard Roles 🖋️
Standard roles are defined by Dashdoc. They cover the most common organizations in transportation.
Available Now
🔒 Read-Only
Views all application information, cannot modify anything. Ideal for auditors or internal observers.
👤 Manager
Full access: orders, operations, billing. This replaces the old "User" role. Suitable for small structures or individuals managing everything.
🚛 Dispatcher
Access to dispatch operations: orders, drivers, vehicles. No access to billing data. This role is designed for field teams who do not need to handle financial aspects.
⚙️ Administrator (Admin)
Total access, including settings and user management. Reserved for account managers.
Coming Soon
This role is under development and will be available soon. We will keep you informed of its release.
📄 Invoicer (in an upcoming version)
Access to billing, pricing, and partner management. No access to dispatch. This role will be available in a later version.
Custom Roles ⚙️
If the standard roles do not fit your organization, you can create your own roles by combining permissions à la carte. For example:
A Pricing Manager who accesses tariff grids but does not create invoices
A Fleet Manager who manages drivers and vehicles but does not have access to orders
Custom roles are reserved for the Expert plan. Standard roles remain available on all plans.

What role should I assign to my user?
Here's how to choose:
Is their need covered by a standard role? Assign this role directly.
Does the standard role not fit exactly?
If you are on the Expert plan: create a custom role in the Admin Center > Roles (coming soon)
Otherwise: use the closest standard role. Standard roles are common to all accounts and will not be modified based on individual needs.
