Automatically apply a subcontracting margin

Set default margins for partners or transport to auto-calculate subcontracting prices and track profitability in real-time.

ℹ️ Why use this feature?

  • Simplify your billing: The charter price is automatically calculated based on the percentage set for each Partner (e.g., 91% of the sales price).

  • Track your margins easily: A direct alternative to tariff grids to manage your profitability throughout the month.

⚙️ Set a subcontracting margin

Configure the Percentage on the Partner Record

  1. Go to Address Book > Partners.

  2. Select the relevant partner.

  3. Click on the Subcontracting Settings tab.

  4. Enter the desired margin percentage (e.g., 15% margin = the subcontracted price will be 85% of the sales price).

  5. Click Save.

💻 Apply the Margin When Subcontracting

  1. Open the transport to be subcontracted.

  2. Click on Subcontract.

  3. Select a carrier.

  4. Click on "Add % of margin" -> "Manual subcontracting margin". If you have set up an automatic margin for your Partner, it will be automatically applied to the transport.

  5. Set the desired subcontracting margin

    • The percentage configured in your Partner's settings applies by default.

    • The Simulator shows real-time margin calculations.

    • If the original transport includes a Gasindex, check the option Copy the Gasindex to add it to the price without applying the margin

  6. Check the final amount in the Subcontracting section (Total + Margin).

    Example:

  7. Click on Schedule the Subcontracting.

⚠️ Important: Applying this margin will replace all previously entered price lines.

✅ Check the Applied Margin

Once the transportation is subcontracted:

  1. Open the subcontracted transportation (child transport).

  2. Check the Pricing section: you will see the amount calculated with the applied margin.

  3. The Margin badge displays the amount of your profitability.
