The pricing grids allow you to automatically apply a price to transport based on the type of goods, the pick-up and delivery location, and the customer.

Thanks to a quick parameterization, your recurring prices contracted with your customers will be added directly to your transports.

A real time-saver when processing your transport orders! ⏱️ 🎉

Your pricing grids can be modified and deactivated at any time according to your needs.

Application Scope

For a tariff grid to be offered on a transport, it must meet the following criteria at the time of creation:

  • Shipper

  • Loading/unloading corresponding to the tariff grid

  • Loads that correspond to the tariff

The tariff grids in Dashdoc work on A to B transports.

When a shipment is entered, the price taken from the grid detected is displayed in the form as soon as the criteria are met. This price can still be modified, and you can choose whether or not to apply the grid detected.

For mileage range grids, the distance is only estimated in Dashdoc once the transport has been created.

The grid will therefore be displayed in the creation form, but the price will not be calculated until we can estimate the mileage.

Create a tariff grid

Click "Add a tariff grid"

In the window that appears, enter :

  1. a name

  2. the load category

  3. the step unit

  4. the line type (mileage range or geographical area)

Click on Confirm

Tariff grid by area

Origin/Destination

Start by determining whether your grid is based on a single point of origin or a single point of destination, top right.

You can reverse the direction of your grid depending on its construction.

You can choose a department, a town or a site from your address book.

Lines

Choose to add a department, town or site from your address book to your lines.

💡 Beware, if you decide to have a mix of addresses and/or towns and/or departments within the same grid, there are some good practices to be aware of.
In effect, an address may be included in a town which, in turn, is included in a department, and so on.
In such cases, several grid lines may apply to a single transport: Dashdoc scans the grid from top to bottom and selects the price from the first line that coincides.
Thus, it is important to prioritise the grid lines according to geographical precision, from the most precise (top of the grid) to the most extensive (bottom of the grid)..

Columns

Create your bearings according to the unit you have chosen.

💡 Bearings are placed in ascending order, so if you forget one, it will automatically move into ascending order.

💡 If your Dashdoc account is linked to a billing account, you can link your grid to a billing product:

The tariff grid functionality allows you to reproduce in Dashdoc the pricing grids in Excel or PDF.

Once you have created your pricing model, you can integrate your pricing data.

If you have a tariff grid in Excel format, you can simply copy and paste the grid. For other formats, you must complete the grid by hand.

  1. Select and copy the corresponding cells of your Dashdoc grid into your Excel file

  2. Paste the price data in the 1st cell on the top left of the grid.

The grid is filled in automatically!

With the options "use variable prices" or "use fixed prices", you will have the option to decide whether your prices are tiered (variable) or flat rate (fixed).

Choose the client and activate the grid

The last step is to choose the client(s) to whom the grid applies.

  1. Click "modify" and choose your ordering party from the drop-down list

  2. Click "Save changes" (blue button at bottom right).

Finally, you can determine whether the grid is active immediately or whether it remains inactive for the moment

Your grid is now complete and will fill in the appropriate price in new transport. Here is an example of an automatically achieved price:

Details of use

In the general menu "my pricing grids", you can manage the grids from the general tier.

  • You have an overview of each created grid and its activation

  • With the 3 vertical dots, you can easily rename, duplicate or delete your grids

    • Duplication: you can choose to duplicate the grid with all the prices or only the structure of the grid with the tiers and destinations

How to update your grid

You can add a percentage increase or decrease en masse to your grids, with an application date.

To do this, go to your tariff grids and click on the grid to be updated, then at the bottom right on the + Create a new version button.

Next, choose the type of date to be used for applying the grid: scheduled, real loading or unloading date, etc.,
As well as the date to which your new version should apply.

You can then use the Apply an Increase or Decrease buttons to choose the percentage to be used so that we can automatically calculate the new rates.

Finally, if you don't use percentages, you can copy and paste the new rates from an Excel file directly into your Dashdoc tariff grid.
