You can now enter pallet equivalence in Dashdoc. You can find it on your transports, prices, invoices, and transport documents (BOL).
⚙️ Set up the pallet equivalent on your handling units
The "Pallet equivalent" field only appears for handling units whose reference unit is Pallets.
To enter the pallet equivalent in your catalog:
Go to Settings > Handling unit catalog.
Create a handling unit with Pallets as its reference unit, or edit an existing one.
Turn on the "Pallet equivalent" option.
You can either leave the field blank or fill it in.
Save.
Once saved in the catalog, the pallet equivalent value fills in automatically every time this handling unit is added to a load, based on the number of pallets entered. You can also edit it manually if needed.
💻 Create a transport with a pallet equivalent
In the transport form, when you add goods, select a handling unit that has been set up with a pallet equivalent.
Enter the number of pallets and/or the pallet equivalent. If you have set up a calculation method, the pallet equivalent is displayed automatically.
Fill in the other fields of the form, then confirm.
The pallet equivalent is then displayed on the transport order, in the goods section.
Plan with pallet equivalents
In the order pool, you can add a pallet equivalent column to see this information more easily.
📱 BOL and mobile app
When you add the Pallet equivalent field to a transport, it is added to the BOL and sent to your driver in the mobile app. Drivers can view and edit pallet equivalent values directly in the Dashdoc mobile app when handling loads.
Invoicing with pallet equivalents
The pallet equivalent variable is available in tariff grids and price lines.
Select pallet equivalent as the pricing metric (planned, loaded, or unloaded pallet equivalent).
When a price is calculated, the invoice line shows which pallet equivalent variant was used.
If you don't invoice based on pallet equivalent but still want to show the pallet equivalent value of the invoiced transport, just add it to your invoice template.
