Generate and print barcode labels directly from Dashdoc to identify and track your goods throughout the loading, cross-docking, and delivery process.
ℹ️ Why use this feature?
Complete traceability: Each handling unit receives a unique identifier (Code 128 barcode) generated automatically, ensuring reliable tracking of your goods at every stage.
Time-saving: Print labels in bulk from the order list or crossdock activity list in just a few clicks, eliminating the need to produce your labels outside of Dashdoc.
Flexibility: Customize your label template via a drag-and-drop editor, and easily reuse it across multiple entities or companies.
Feature currently available only for beta testers.

🖥️ How to access this feature?
First, you need to go to your settings. Access the section Documents > Load Labels.
Then, you will need to click on the option "Enable access to goods labels."
A default label template is provided. You can:
Edit it directly in the editor
Start from scratch and recreate your label according to your needs.
A real-time preview (with sample data) is displayed on the configuration page.
⚠️ Note, you can only generate one label template per entity.
Duplicate your label template across your different Dashdoc entities:
Dashdoc allows you to reuse the same template across multiple companies or entities, to do this:
On the Goods Labels page, click Export to download your template.
Access the same page on the other entity, then click Import to apply the template there.
⚙️ How to modify or create your label?
Our label editor works with different types of blocks that you can use:
A text area with different available variables:
Identification: the barcode identifier of the handling unit concerned.
Package number: the position of the label in the entire load, for example
2/6.Dates: the planned loading/delivery date and time. If no date is planned, the requested date is used.
Sender/Recipient phone: the phone number of the partner company associated with the loading or delivery address. This field is empty if no partner is linked to the logistic point.
Carrier: the carrier assigned to the transport (yourself)
Delivering carrier: the carrier in charge of the subcontracted segment. This field remains empty if the transport is not subcontracted.
Carrier phone numbers: the phone number from the partner record.
Instructions: additional information provided on the goods.
ADR: displays
ADRif the goods are identified as dangerous. The UN code variable displays the code and its description.
Barcodes or QR codes, indicating the unique identifier of your goods.
Separator lines.
🔖 How to Generate and Download Your Labels
Labels can be generated from two entry points:
The transport list in the TMS
The activity list in the crossdock module
From the TMS:
In the Transports menu, select one or more orders from the list. Click on More actions > Download labels.
A confirmation window appears, indicating the number of selected orders and the number of labels that will be generated.
Good to know: If a handling unit does not yet have a unique identifier, Dashdoc automatically generates one at the time of upload. Existing identifiers are never replaced.
From the Crossdock:
Just like in the list of transports, you can select one or more activities in the Crossdock module to download the labels.
You can also use the link available on a trip page to access the Crossdock module, filtered on your trip, and generate the labels.
Note, label generation is possible for accepted and in-progress orders. Once the order is completed or cancelled, it is no longer possible to generate barcodes.
🖨️ Print Labels
Dashdoc generates a standard PDF file. To print:
Open the downloaded PDF file on your computer.
Print it using your usual printer (labels or otherwise).
Note: There is no direct connection with thermal printers (e.g., Zebra, Honeywell). Print the PDF according to your usual printing procedure.
💡 Good to know:
Goods of the Bulk type are not quantifiable and therefore cannot carry barcodes and are excluded from label generation.
Modifying a label template applies only to future generations.
To find your downloaded labels, search for them in your computer's download folder, or regenerate them via the bulk action.
