Generate quotes in Dashdoc

Find out how to create quotes on Dashdoc and turn them into shipments.

Steps to create a quote

  1. Access the "Quotes" tab, then click on "New Quote" at the top right:

  2. Select the client and assign a quote number (automatic numbering available in your settings)

  3. Then add the lines that will make up the quote:

  • Transport line: fill in all the necessary information from the creation form. Once the quote is accepted, create a shipment from this line with one click.

  • Quote line: additional price line to add to the quote (unit price, quantity, billing product)

  • Text line: insert free text that will appear at the end of the quote

📩 Once the different lines are added, you can download the quote and manually send it to your client.

Modification and customization of quotes

  • Quotes can have 3 statuses: "Created, Accepted, Rejected", always modifiable

  • The information on the quote can also be modified at any time (quote line, date, numbering, etc.), regardless of its status

  • Quotes can be duplicated

Links between quotes and transport

Turn your quotes into transport :

Once the quote has been accepted, turn your transport lines into shipments. To do this, you can either create all the shipments in bulk or create them individually:

Once the shipment is created, Dashdoc indicates that the shipment has been successfully created as shown below:

📍 A transport line on a quote can be turned into a shipment as many times as you wish.

Navigate between your quotes and your shipments :

By clicking on "View created shipments," you will be redirected to the Shipments view. A filter will then be applied to visualize the shipments corresponding to this quote.

The quote number filter is also available to easily find shipments linked to specific quotes.

📍 Note that you can also add the "Quote Number" column in your "Shipments" view and in your customizable exports.

Settings

In your Dashdoc settings > Quote configuration, you have the option to set specific numbering and legal mentions in different languages.
